Huon Pine and Celery Top
Custodian: Max Beck; 2000 – 2023
Mary Bell was built in 2000 at the Wooden Boat Shop in Sorrento, Victoria. She was commissioned by Max Beck.
Timbers used were Huon Pine and Celery Top with the primary focus of the boat being one for social competition rather than serious racing.
For twenty years Mary Bell was used as a recreational craft.
Custodian: Cantwell family; 2023 – Present
In 2023, Mary Bell was purchased by the Cantwell family and was renamed Ophelia.
