Mary Bell was built in 2000 at the Wooden Boat Shop in Sorrento, Victoria. She was commissioned by Max Beck.

Timbers used were Huon Pine and Celery Top with the primary focus of the boat being one for social competition rather than serious racing.

She is moored at Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club and is used as a recreational craft.
