|Location of Boat||Royal Perth Yacht Club (RPYC)|
|Owner’s Name||Michael Horton|
|Builder||Cayzers of Queenscliffe|
“Built 1960, by Cayzers of Queenscliffe, 24’7″ LOA, New Zealand Kauri planking, celery top ribs, iron bark keel, Queensland beech deck, Oregon spars.
Originally had a Lister 15HP diesel, which lasted for 50 years before completely rusting out and being replaced with a 28HP Nissan diesel.
Planking is entirely original, but re-calked and re-decked in 1997 by old Jack & Joe Pompei in Mordialoc.
Christina was a professional work boat, under survey in Victoria until 1991, fishing out of Western Port bay.
We are the second owners, having bought it off the elderly fisherman in 1996 after he retired and was no longer able to look after the boat.
It was transported to Royal Perth Yacht Club in 1997 – and is still penned there on the Swan River, where it is casually raced in club and retro series events.
She has today just undergone her 21st paint job on the hard stand at RPYC.”
