Tim rescues 3 fishermen

Minutes after setting off from the Sandringham Sail Melbourne regatta on his way back to Queenscliff, Tim Phillips sailing alone on Muriel came across a swamped tinny with 3 men tipped into the water. With winds in the 25 – 30 knots range, Tim single handed, dropped his sail and dragged the 3 men aboard. A larger man at 120Kg with perseverance was untimately dragged from the rough waters to safety. Shortly after another Sorrento Sailing club boat arrived to render assistance finding the rescue complete. The 3 men were taken to the Sandringham Yacht Club with police arriving to salvage the flooded tinny. Congratulations to Tim, adding another rescue to the list of many.
